8. Reusing Research Results Across the Platform
Export and embed report content into Documents, ChatPro, or workflows while keeping source traceability intact.
Deep Research reports are designed to travel beyond the investigation screen. Every completed report is delivered as plain rich text with inline source citations. This means you can copy the content — or selected sections — directly into Documents, ChatPro conversations, or automated workflows without losing the references that make the material verifiable. The citations travel with the text, so anyone who reads the reused content can trace each claim back to its original provider (web, academic, news, or specialized source). This is the key advantage over a simple chat answer: the sourced structure is portable across the entire platform.
To reuse a report, start from History, where every past session is stored with its question, selected sources, status, and the full sourced report. Open the session you need, then select and copy the relevant sections. Because the report is rich text, formatting and inline citations are preserved when you paste into a Document or a ChatPro message. If you are feeding a workflow, paste the sourced excerpt into the appropriate input field — the citations remain intact as readable references within the text.
Before copying, scan the inline citations in your report. If a section references a source you consider weak, reformulate and relaunch with Try Again using more targeted sources — this way only high-quality, well-cited material enters your Documents or workflows.
When you use the Deep Research toggle inside OUPI Studio, the same engine runs but the report is embedded as a step within a larger agent-driven deliverable. If you need the raw, citable report to reuse freely across the platform, launch the research directly from the Deep Research screen instead. Both entry points produce the same sourced output, but the direct route gives you full control over copying and redistribution.
To keep traceability strong, never strip the inline source references when pasting into Documents or ChatPro. They are what make the content auditable. If you summarize a section, keep at least the source indicator so colleagues can verify the original claim.
Open your Deep Research History, pick a completed session, and copy one well-cited paragraph into a new Document. Verify that the inline source references appear correctly in the Document. Then paste the same paragraph into a ChatPro conversation to confirm traceability is preserved in both destinations.
