Course outline

1 Understanding the Model Context Protocol Grasp what MCP is, why it matters for AI-driven tool use, and how the MCP Hub centralizes external service connections across the entire OUPI platform. 2 Browsing the Server Catalog Navigate the MCP server catalog to discover available services, evaluate their capabilities, and identify the right integrations for your use case. 3 Creating and Authorizing Connections via OAuth Walk through the full connection lifecycle — selecting a server, authenticating via OAuth, granting scopes, and confirming the connection is active platform-wide. 4 Inspecting Exposed Tools Open a live connection to examine the exact tool list the AI sees, understand each tool's described action, and verify that granted scopes match your intent. 5 Platform-Wide Usage: ChatPro, Studio, Workflows & Beyond Understand how a single MCP connection surfaces as tool badges in ChatPro, available actions in OUPI Studio and the Assistant, workflow steps, RAG imports, and Deep Research. 6 Auditing with the Execution Log Use the executions history to review every tool call — identifying which tool fired, when, from which origin, and whether it succeeded or failed. 7 Troubleshooting and Disconnecting Services Diagnose broken connections caused by expired or revoked authorizations, re-authorize or recreate them, and perform a clean disconnection on both the OUPI and service sides. 8 Security, Scopes & Cost Model Evaluate the security posture of MCP connections — scoped OAuth grants, logged calls, approval gates for sensitive actions — and understand how tool-call costs fold into conversation, run, or workflow credits.
