8. Querying Your Data from ChatPro

Use ChatPro's data tools to ask questions about your datasets mid-conversation without leaving the chat.

OUPI Data exposes your imported datasets directly to ChatPro through built-in data tools. This means you don't need to leave your conversation to look up numbers, compare columns, or check trends — just ask your question in the chat and the AI queries your data hub behind the scenes, returning results inline. Any dataset you've already imported into OUPI Data is available: spreadsheets, CSV files, and any transformations you've applied. The chat acts as a second entry point to the same query engine you'd use from the Data dashboard, so results are consistent whether you ask from Query or from ChatPro.

To query a dataset from ChatPro, simply mention what you need in plain language — for example, "What were total sales by region last quarter?" or "Show me the top 10 customers by revenue from my orders file." The AI identifies the relevant dataset, translates your question into the actual query, runs it, and displays the result along with the underlying logic so you can verify what was done. This is the same natural-language query engine available in the Data section, now accessible without switching screens.

Consejo

Be specific about which dataset you mean if you have several. Including the file or dataset name in your question (e.g., "from my Q3 sales spreadsheet") helps the AI pick the right source on the first try.

When the AI returns a result in ChatPro, you can keep the conversation going: ask follow-up questions to drill down, request a different grouping, or ask for a chart. Visualizations generated this way work just like those from the Data dashboard — you can pin them to your overview for ongoing monitoring. Each AI-powered query or visualization consumes credits; the cost is shown before execution so there are no surprises.

If you find yourself asking the same question regularly, save it. Saved queries are accessible under Saved queries in the Data section and can be re-run on refreshed data at any time. This is especially useful for recurring reports: build the question once in ChatPro, save it, then re-run it whenever your dataset is updated — no need to retype or remember the exact phrasing.

Ahora tú

Open ChatPro and ask a plain-language question about one of your imported datasets — for example, "What is the average value per row in my latest spreadsheet?" Check the result and the underlying logic the AI shows you. Then try a follow-up question to refine the answer.

Para recordar

Your OUPI Data datasets are accessible directly from ChatPro via data tools — no need to switch to the Data dashboard. Ask questions in plain language, inspect the underlying logic, generate and pin visualizations, and save queries you'll reuse. Each AI operation consumes credits (shown upfront). This makes ChatPro a powerful, conversational interface for ongoing data analysis right where your other work happens.
