6. Visualizations, Saved Queries and Team Sharing
Use charts generated from query results, pin them to your dashboard, save queries for re-use on refreshed data, and share them with your team.
When you ask a question about your data, OUPI doesn't just return a table — it also suggests a chart whenever the shape of the result lends itself to one. For example, a "total sales by region" query naturally maps to a bar chart, while a time-series question might produce a line chart. These visualizations are generated automatically from the computed result, so the numbers in the chart are the same verified figures you see in the result table. You can also explicitly request a chart type in your question ("show me a pie chart of expenses by category"). Once a chart is on screen, you can pin it to your dashboard to build a living, always-up-to-date overview of your key metrics — no BI tool required.
Every query you run keeps its generated code, result table, plain-language summary, and chart. When you save a query, it becomes a reusable asset: open it from Saved Queries and re-run it at any time. Because the code is stored, re-running it on refreshed data gives you updated results instantly — ideal for weekly reports or KPIs that track a moving dataset. You can also use a saved query as a starting point: tweak the question, adjust the period or grouping, and save the variant alongside the original. This turns one-off explorations into a library of reliable, repeatable analyses.
Saved queries and pinned charts are shareable with your team. When you share a query, teammates can re-run it on the same dataset and see the same verified result — ensuring everyone works from the same numbers. Shared charts pinned to a dashboard create a common data view across the team, reducing back-and-forth about figures. Note that AI-powered querying and visualization consume credits per operation, and the cost is shown before you run, so there are no surprises when a colleague re-runs a shared query.
Pin your most-used charts to the dashboard first, then share the dashboard link with your team. This way, everyone sees the same live overview without having to re-run queries individually. Name your saved queries clearly (e.g., "Q2 revenue by region") so teammates can find and reuse them easily.
Ask for the chart type you want directly in your question — "show a bar chart of monthly churn" — to skip the extra step. If the auto-suggested chart isn't right, just ask a follow-up to change the visualization style; the underlying data stays the same verified result.
Open your Saved Queries page. Pick a previous query (or run a new one like "total revenue by month this year"), save it, then generate a chart from the result and pin it to your dashboard. Finally, share the saved query with a teammate so they can re-run it on the latest data.
