2. Pairing Your Device
Generate a five-minute single-use pairing code from My connections and complete the pairing handshake so the device appears in your console.
A Nexus One is a sovereign OUPI device installed on your premises. It runs OUPI capabilities locally — your files never leave the device, and only the results you authorize (artifacts, answers) travel back to the platform. Before the device can receive work from missions or appear in your console, it must be paired to your OUPI account through My connections. Pairing establishes a trusted link between the physical device and your account, after which you can monitor its health, configure anchors, manage grants, and control remote access — all from a single console view.
Pairing uses a single-use, time-limited code generated from My connections. The flow is straightforward:
- Open My connections (dashboard.user.limbs.index).
- Choose "Pair a Nexus One" and generate a code.
- On the device's own pairing screen, enter the code within five minutes.
- The device appears under "Your devices" with its live health, capabilities, and status.
The code is single-use: once consumed or expired, it cannot be reused. If the five-minute window closes, simply generate a fresh code and try again. Credits for any work performed on the device are debited from your OUPI account, just like any other action on the platform.
Keep the device's pairing screen visible before you generate the code — the five-minute countdown starts the moment the code is created, not when you open the device screen. Having both screens ready avoids wasted codes.
Once paired, the device console gives you full visibility: live telemetry and health, the capabilities the device offers, anchored folders (the only scope missions can read and write), artifacts pushed back, skills produced on the device, and remote-access settings. You can group devices (e.g., "Workshop", "Site A") to manage grants in bulk. By default, your entire fleet is sovereign — nothing is granted to @oupi until you explicitly decide per device or per group.
After pairing, verify the device shows a healthy status and its expected capabilities in the console before configuring anchors or grants. This confirms the handshake completed correctly and the device is ready for mission work.
Open My connections now. Click "Pair a Nexus One", generate a code, and enter it on your device within five minutes. Once the device appears under "Your devices", confirm its health indicator is active and review its listed capabilities.
