7. Setting Up Intelligence Alerts
Enable the Intelligence module to automatically detect anomalies and notable changes, and review alerts on the dedicated dashboard.
The Intelligence module is a built-in watchdog for your datasets. Once enabled, it continuously monitors the data you have imported into OUPI Data and automatically raises alerts whenever it detects notable changes or anomalies — for example, a sudden spike in expenses, a missing data pattern, or an unusual trend shift. All alerts are gathered on a dedicated Intelligence dashboard, giving you a single place to review what moved and why it matters, without having to manually re-run queries every day.
Before Intelligence can watch your data, you need at least one imported dataset. If you haven't done so yet, drop your spreadsheet or CSV file via the Import feature. The AI automatically detects columns and types, which is also what the Intelligence module relies on to understand what constitutes a 'normal' value versus an anomaly. The richer and cleaner your dataset headers are, the more accurate the detection will be.
Clean, descriptive column headers in your source file improve both column detection at import and the quality of Intelligence alerts. Rename ambiguous headers (e.g., 'Col1') before uploading.
The Intelligence dashboard is separate from your main data dashboard. It summarizes every alert the module has raised: what changed, in which dataset, and why it matters. You can review alerts at a glance and decide whether to investigate further — for instance by opening a natural-language query to drill into the flagged data point, or by generating a visualization to see the trend in context.
Pair Intelligence alerts with saved queries: when an alert flags an anomaly, save the follow-up query you use to investigate it. Next time a similar alert appears, re-run that saved query instantly on the refreshed data.
Keep in mind that AI-powered operations — including the analysis behind Intelligence alerts — consume credits per operation. The cost is shown before each action runs, so there are no surprises. Import and storage themselves remain lightweight, meaning you can keep large datasets monitored without worrying about storage fees.
Open the Intelligence dashboard (Intelligence section inside OUPI Data). Review any alerts already raised on your imported datasets. Pick one alert, then navigate to Query to ask a plain-language follow-up question about the flagged change. Save that query for future use.
