1. What Is OUPI Data and Why It Matters
Understand OUPI Data's role as the AI-native data hub that powers analysis, visualization and downstream tools across the platform.
OUPI Data is the platform's AI-native data hub. It lets you import tabular files — spreadsheets, CSV and similar formats — then question, transform and visualize them using plain language instead of SQL or formulas. Think of it as the central data infrastructure layer: other platform tools such as Finance or Teams Intelligence build on top of it, pulling from the datasets you store here. Because everything runs through AI, you describe what you want in everyday words and the system handles the technical execution transparently.
The core workflow has four stages:
- Import — Drop your file and the AI automatically detects columns and data types, so your dataset is ready to explore in seconds.
- Query — Ask questions in natural language (e.g., "total sales by region last quarter"). The AI translates your question into a real query, runs it and shows both the result and the underlying logic.
- Transform — Describe filters, derived columns, aggregations or joins in plain language. Transformations never mutate the original dataset; they produce refreshed views.
- Visualize — Generate charts from any result and pin them to your dashboard to build a living overview of your data.
Two features extend OUPI Data beyond a simple analysis tool:
• Intelligence alerts — The Intelligence module continuously watches your datasets and raises alerts when it detects notable changes or anomalies. A dedicated dashboard summarizes what moved and why it matters, so you can act on shifts before they become problems.
• ChatPro integration — Your datasets are exposed to ChatPro through data tools. This means you can ask questions about your data mid-conversation without leaving the chat, and the AI queries the hub for you on the fly.
Queries you write don't have to be one-off. You can save any query and find it under Saved queries. From there, re-run it whenever your data is refreshed to get updated results instantly, or use a saved query as a starting point for new variants. This makes it easy to build a personal library of reusable analyses that grow with your datasets.
Clean, descriptive column headers in your source file significantly improve the AI's automatic column detection. Before importing, rename vague headers like "Col1" to meaningful names like "Revenue_Q3". This small step makes every downstream query and visualization more accurate.
On cost: importing files and storing datasets is lightweight. The operations that consume credits are AI-powered actions — querying, transforming and generating visualizations. The platform shows the credit cost before you run each operation, so there are no surprises. This pay-per-operation model means you only spend when you actively analyze.
Head to your OUPI Data dashboard, click Import and drop a spreadsheet or CSV file. Review the auto-detected columns and types, then open Query and ask a simple question about your data — for example, "show the top 5 rows by value". Check the result and the underlying logic the AI generated.
