2. Managing Your Password
Understand how to change your password, set one if you signed up via SSO, and reset it if you ever forget it.
Your OUPI password can be changed at any time from your Settings page. Head to the **Change password** section, enter your current password, then type your new password twice. A live check will immediately tell you if the two entries don't match, so you can fix any typo before saving.
If you originally signed up using Google, Microsoft, or GitHub (SSO), you won't have a password yet — but you can set one right here. This lets you also log in directly with an email and password, giving you a second way to access your account.
AstuceChoose a strong, unique password you don't use on other sites. If you use a password manager, let it generate and store the password for you — that way you won't need to memorize it.
Forgot your password? No worries — on the login page, click **"Forgot password"** and enter the email address associated with your account. You'll receive a reset link by email.
A few important things to know about that link:
• It is **valid for one hour** only.
• It can be **used only once** — after you click it, it expires.
• If the email doesn't arrive, check your spam folder and make sure you entered the exact email address tied to your OUPI account.
AstuceIf you've enabled two-factor authentication (2FA), keep your backup codes stored somewhere safe — outside your phone. If you ever lose access to your authenticator app, a backup code can get you back in.
