3. Understanding Your Financial Health Score

Interpret the four dimensions of the Health Score—income vs expenses, diversification, savings regularity, and debt-to-income ratio—to gauge your overall financial standing.

The Financial Health Score is an AI-powered indicator that evaluates your overall financial standing across four distinct dimensions:

  1. Income vs Expenses – Are you consistently earning more than you spend? A positive gap signals financial stability.
  2. Diversification – Do your income and spending spread across multiple categories, or are you overly dependent on a single source or expense type?
  3. Savings Regularity – Are you setting money aside on a consistent basis, or do your savings fluctuate unpredictably?
  4. Debt-to-Income Ratio – How much of your income goes toward debt repayment? A lower ratio means more financial breathing room.

Each dimension contributes to a composite score that gives you a quick, data-driven snapshot of your finances. The score requires at least 10 recorded transactions before it can be calculated, so make sure your transaction history is up to date.

Why each dimension matters

Income vs Expenses is the foundation: no financial plan works if outflows consistently exceed inflows. The Health Score flags imbalances early. • Diversification protects you from shocks. If 90% of your income comes from one client or your spending is dominated by a single category, you're exposed to risk. • Savings Regularity rewards consistency over amount. Saving a small sum every month scores better than large, sporadic deposits. • Debt-to-Income Ratio is a standard metric used by lenders and financial planners alike. The Health Score contextualizes it alongside your other dimensions so you see the full picture.

Because the score is AI-driven, it adapts as your transaction data grows—giving you increasingly accurate insights over time.

Tip

Each Health Score calculation costs 1 credit. To get the most value, add all your recent transactions before requesting a new score rather than recalculating after every single entry. The AI uses your full transaction history, so more data means a more accurate result.

Tip

Want deeper insight into a specific dimension? After reviewing your Health Score, head to the Smart Financial Advisor (Finance > Advisor) and ask a targeted question like "How can I improve my savings regularity?" The Advisor takes your transaction history into account for personalized guidance (~2 credits per question).

Complementary tools to strengthen your score

The Health Score doesn't exist in isolation. Two other AI features help you act on what it reveals:

Anomaly Narrator – Detects unusual spending patterns by comparing your recent activity against the last 3 months. If your income-vs-expenses dimension drops, anomalies may explain why. • Spending DNA – Builds a unique profile of your spending habits. If the diversification dimension flags concentration risk, Spending DNA shows you exactly where your money clusters.

Using all three tools together turns a single number into an actionable improvement plan.

Recap

Your Financial Health Score distills your finances into four actionable dimensions: income vs expenses, diversification, savings regularity, and debt-to-income ratio. It needs at least 10 transactions and costs 1 credit per calculation. To go deeper, pair it with the Anomaly Narrator (unusual spending detection) and Spending DNA (habit profiling), or ask the Smart Financial Advisor targeted questions. The more transaction data you provide, the sharper your score becomes.
