Your OUPI Account: Getting Started with Profile & Security · Lesson 7 of 7

7. Privacy Center, Data Export & Notifications

Use the Privacy center to view, export or delete your personal data, and configure your notification preferences.

OUPI includes a built-in Privacy Center where you can exercise your data rights directly, without contacting support. From this dedicated page you can: • **View** the personal data OUPI holds about you — your profile information, activity and stored content. • **Export** a copy of your data so you have a portable record. • **Delete** your account and all associated content. Deletion requires a security step (such as re-entering your password or confirming via two-factor authentication) to prevent accidental or unauthorized removal. After confirmation, your content is removed after the retention period required by law. The Privacy Center is separate from the Memory page (which stores preferences and facts the AI uses to personalize your experience). Think of the Privacy Center as your legal-rights hub, and Memory as your personalization hub.
**Notification preferences** let you control how and when OUPI reaches you. In Settings you can toggle: • **Email notifications** — messages sent to your account email address. • **In-app notifications** — alerts that appear inside OUPI itself. You can also check recent notifications at any time by clicking the **bell icon** in the top bar. This gives you a quick feed of what happened without digging through your inbox.
TipBefore requesting a full account deletion, consider exporting your data first. The Privacy Center lets you do both, but once deletion is confirmed and the legal retention period ends, your content is permanently removed.
TipYour Memory page and your Privacy Center serve different purposes. If you just want to stop the AI from using a specific fact about you, edit or delete that entry on the Memory page — no need to delete your whole account.
Try it nowOpen the Privacy Center now (Settings → Privacy Center). Review the personal data OUPI holds about you. Then go to Settings and check your notification preferences — make sure email and in-app toggles match how you actually want to be notified. Finally, click the bell icon in the top bar to see your recent notifications.Take this course in OUPI → This exercise is done inside the OUPI platform.
RecapYou now know how to: • **View, export and delete** your personal data from the Privacy Center — deletion requires a security confirmation step. • **Distinguish** the Privacy Center (legal data rights) from the Memory page (AI personalization facts). • **Configure notifications** via Settings, choosing between email and in-app alerts. • **Check recent notifications** using the bell icon in the top bar. These tools put you in full control of your data and how OUPI communicates with you.
