4. Team Credits and Administration
Understand how a shared team allowance is distributed by an administrator, how per-member consumption is tracked, and how personal and team balances combine.
When an organization subscribes to a team plan on OUPI, it receives a shared allowance of credits. These credits are not automatically split equally — instead, the team administrator decides how they are distributed. The admin can allocate a specific portion of the pool to each member, or allow members to draw freely from the shared pool. This gives the organization full control over how its AI budget is spent across the team.
The administrator has a dedicated consumption view that shows exactly how many credits each team member has used, and which tools or actions consumed them. This per-member tracking makes it easy to spot heavy usage patterns — for example, a member running many agent missions with frontier models — and to adjust allocations accordingly. The admin can also set caps on individual members to prevent any one person from exhausting the team's shared pool.
If a team member also has a personal OUPI plan, their balances combine. The member keeps their own personal allowance alongside whatever the team administrator has allocated to them. This means a member doesn't lose access to personal credits just because they joined a team, and the two balances work together to cover usage. If a member runs out of their personal credits, they may still have team credits available — or vice versa.
Running low on credits as a team member? Before upgrading your personal plan, check with your team administrator — they may be able to increase your share of the team allowance or remove a cap. This can be faster and more cost-effective than changing plans on your own.
All the standard credit rules still apply within a team. Credits are only debited when an operation succeeds, so no team budget is wasted on failed generations. Agent missions check the balance before each round and stop cleanly if credits are insufficient, preserving the work already done. Costs are visible before and after actions, so both members and administrators can stay informed.
Go to the Team Management page (dashboard.user.team-management.index). If you are an administrator, review the per-member consumption view and check whether any member's usage is uncapped. If you are a member, look at your balance in the top bar and note whether it reflects a personal allowance, a team allowance, or both.
A team plan provides a shared credit pool managed by the administrator, who distributes credits to members and can cap individual usage. Per-member consumption is fully visible to the admin. Members who also hold a personal plan see both balances combined. Credits are still debited only on success, and missions stop cleanly when the balance runs short — protecting the team's budget automatically.
