Mastering the OUPI Chat: From First Message to Team Collaboration · Lección 3 de 7

3. Web Search and Deep Research

Discover how the chat automatically searches the web for current information and how to activate Deep Research for in-depth, sourced reports across many sources.

When you ask a question in the OUPI Chat that needs current information — today's news, recent statistics, a live product price — the chat automatically searches the web for you. There is no button to flip or setting to remember: if your question calls for fresh data, the search happens behind the scenes and the answer reflects what it finds online. This means every conversation is potentially enriched with up-to-date facts without any extra effort on your part.

Consejo

Not sure whether the chat searched the web? Just ask naturally. Questions like "What were yesterday's election results?" or "What is the current EUR/USD rate?" will trigger a live search automatically. You never need to add special keywords or toggle anything on.

For questions that require more than a quick lookup — a competitive landscape, a regulatory overview, a technology comparison — you can activate Deep Research. When turned on, the chat investigates across many sources, takes more time, and delivers a structured, sourced report rather than a short answer. Think of it as asking a research assistant to spend real time digging into a topic for you.

Keep in mind that Deep Research costs more credits than a regular message because of the extra processing and the breadth of sources consulted. Use it when depth and citations matter, not for simple factual questions.

Consejo

Reserve Deep Research for tasks where you need a thorough, multi-source report — market analysis, literature reviews, policy comparisons. For a quick fact or a single data point, the automatic web search is faster and cheaper.

You can combine web search and Deep Research with other chat capabilities for even richer results. For example, attach a document and ask the chat to compare its claims against current online sources. Or ground your question in a knowledge base so the answer blends your internal documents with live web data. Deep Research reports appear as artifacts in the Atelier side panel, where you can preview, edit, download, or save them to your files for later use.

Ahora tú

Open the OUPI Chat and type a question that needs current information, such as "What are the latest EU AI Act developments?" Notice how the answer includes up-to-date details. Then turn on Deep Research and ask for a full comparison of two recent industry trends. Compare the depth and sourcing of both answers.

Para recordar

The OUPI Chat searches the web automatically whenever your question needs fresh information — no toggle required. For in-depth, multi-source investigations, activate Deep Research to receive a structured, sourced report (at a higher credit cost). You can combine these capabilities with file attachments and knowledge bases, and any report produced opens in the Atelier for editing and saving.
