6. Collaborating in Workspaces and Connecting Tools
Set up team workspaces with shared channels, documents, knowledge bases and connected external tools (MCP), and use live translation so every member reads in their own language.
A workspace is a shared space where your team and the AI collaborate in real time. You'll find it in the Workspaces tab of the chat drawer. Inside a workspace you can create channels — think of them as group conversations where every member and the AI participate together. Each workspace can have its own shared documents, knowledge bases, connected external tools, and group missions launched for the whole team. Artifacts produced in the workspace (reports, spreadsheets, charts) can even be published with a public link so people outside the team can view them.
One of the most powerful workspace features is live translation. Every member writes in their own language, and every other member reads the messages in theirs — automatically. If you ever want to see exactly what someone originally wrote, the original text is just one tap away. This removes language barriers entirely: a French-speaking analyst, a German-speaking manager, and an English-speaking developer can all work in the same channel without anyone switching languages.
To ground your team's conversations in shared company knowledge, pick a knowledge base from the chat form inside a workspace channel. Answers will then be based on your indexed documents and can cite them. You create and manage knowledge bases from the Knowledge Base section, and each one can be shared across the team. This means everyone in the workspace gets consistent, source-backed answers drawn from the same pool of trusted documents.
Workspaces also support connected external tools via MCP (Model Context Protocol). Open the tools icon in the chat form and connect the integrations your team uses — Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Teams, Slack, CRMs, databases, or custom MCP servers. Once connected, the chat and @oupi can read from and act in those tools on your behalf. The system will even tell you when a useful integration is missing, so you never overlook a connection that could save time.
Need a multi-step task done for the whole team? Hand it off to @oupi right inside a workspace channel. The mission runs in the background, progress is visible in the conversation, and everyone gets notified when it's done or when input is needed. Great for tasks like "compile these five reports into a briefing."
You can also share a conversation into a workspace. From any personal conversation's menu, open it in a workspace to continue collaborating with your team — no need to copy-paste or start over.
Go to the MCP tools page now. Click the tools icon and browse the available integrations (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, etc.). Try connecting one tool your team uses daily. Then open a workspace channel and verify the connected tool appears — ask the chat a question that would require it.
