3. Plans and Monthly Allowances
Discover what a plan includes — monthly credit allowance, unlocked models and tools, renewal rules, and how upgrades and downgrades work.
Every OUPI plan comes with a monthly allowance of credits — the single currency you use for every AI action on the platform. Your plan also determines which models and tools you can access, along with limits such as file size or number of team members. The allowance renews automatically on your billing date. Unless your specific plan states otherwise, unused credits do not carry over to the next cycle, so there is no need to hoard them — use what you have each month.
You can view everything about your plan in one place: the Subscription page. It shows your current plan, your monthly credit allowance, your renewal date, your payment method, and your invoices. Your live credit balance is also always visible in the top bar, so you never have to dig around to know where you stand.
Need more credits or access to additional models? You can upgrade your plan at any time from the Subscription page. Upgrades apply immediately — you get the new allowance and unlocked features right away. Downgrades work differently: they only take effect at your next renewal date, so you keep the benefits of your current plan until the cycle ends. This means you can try a higher plan with no risk of losing time you already paid for.
If you run out of credits before your renewal date, you have a few options. The simplest is to upgrade to a larger plan, which takes effect immediately. You can also simply wait for your monthly renewal, when your allowance resets. If you belong to a team, your team administrator may be able to allocate additional credits from the team's shared pool — just ask them.
Not every action costs the same. Frontier models consume far more credits per token than lighter, faster models. Letting OUPI's automatic model selection handle routine tasks is one of the easiest ways to stretch your allowance — it picks a lighter model when a powerful one isn't needed.
Open the Subscription page in OUPI (under your payment settings). Check your current plan name, your monthly credit allowance, and your next renewal date. Then glance at the top bar to see your live credit balance. Knowing these three things keeps you in control of your spending.
Your plan gives you a monthly credit allowance, access to specific models and tools, and defined limits. Credits renew on your billing date and generally don't carry over. Upgrades are immediate; downgrades wait until renewal. If you run out, you can upgrade, wait for renewal, or ask your team admin for a share. Everything — plan details, balance, and invoices — lives on the Subscription page and the top bar.
