7. Reading Your Balance, Costs, and Invoices
Find your live balance in the top bar, review per-mission and per-job costs, and locate invoices and billing details on the Subscription page.
Your credit balance is always visible in the top bar of OUPI — no need to dig through menus. This live counter updates after every action you take: sending a chat message, generating an image, running an agent mission, or using the sandbox. Think of it as a wallet that shows exactly how much you can still spend. If you want the full picture — your current plan, monthly allowance, renewal date, and payment method — head to the Subscription page. Everything billing-related lives there in one place.
Every action on OUPI has a cost, and costs follow real usage. For text conversations, the cost depends on the number of tokens exchanged and the weight of the model (frontier models cost far more per token than fast, everyday ones). Media generations (images, video, audio) are priced per generation based on the engine and the output size or duration. Agent missions add up all the model calls and tool uses across their work rounds. Sandbox work is billed by compute time. Importantly, costs are shown before actions when they can be known in advance, and always shown afterwards — so there are no surprises.
After a mission finishes or a media job completes, OUPI displays the exact credit cost of that specific task. This per-mission and per-job cost breakdown helps you understand which activities consume the most credits. Long conversations with frontier models, missions with many rounds, and media generations tend to be the heaviest consumers. Reviewing these costs regularly is the fastest way to learn what's expensive and adjust your habits accordingly.
A key protection: credits are only debited when an operation succeeds. If a generation fails or an error occurs, you pay nothing. For missions, the platform checks your balance before each work round and stops cleanly if funds are insufficient — keeping everything produced so far. Chat messages that can't be paid are refused before they even start. You'll never be charged for something that didn't deliver a result.
Invoices are issued at each payment and are available directly from the Subscription page. They carry your billing details, which you can update in Settings. If you need to change your payment method — for example, updating an expired card — you do that on the Subscription page as well. If a payment fails, check the card on file (expiry date, spending limits, 3-D Secure) and retry from the same page.
Want to keep costs low? Let automatic model selection do its job — it picks lighter models for routine work. Write clear, specific briefs for missions (fewer rounds = fewer credits). Store long reference documents in a knowledge base instead of pasting them into chat. Check the cost shown on each completed mission to spot patterns.
Open OUPI now. Look at the top bar and note your current credit balance. Then navigate to the Subscription page (Settings → Subscription) and find three things: your current plan name, your renewal date, and the invoices section. If you've run any missions or media jobs, check one to see its exact credit cost.
