5. Writing Call Scripts and Placing Calls

Create call scripts with goals and objection handling, then use the dialer to place immediate or scheduled calls through your voice agent.

A call script is the scenario your AI voice agent follows during a phone call. It defines the goals of the conversation, the questions the agent should ask, and how it should handle objections. You create and edit scripts under Voice > Scripts, then attach them to specific calls. Think of a script as a structured playbook: it keeps the agent on track, ensures key points are covered, and provides ready-made responses when a prospect pushes back. Well-crafted scripts lead to more consistent, professional calls — whether the agent is qualifying leads, booking appointments, or conducting surveys.

When building a script, start by defining a clear goal — what outcome should the call achieve? Then list the questions or talking points the agent needs to cover in order. Finally, add objection-handling blocks: anticipate common pushbacks (e.g., "I'm not interested," "Send me an email instead") and write the agent's response for each. This structure ensures the AI voice agent can navigate real conversations smoothly rather than getting stuck when the contact deviates from the expected flow.

Consejo

Use the hub-wide AI panel to speed up script creation. Open the panel on the right side and instruct it to "prepare a call script" — it will generate a draft based on the context you provide. Review and refine the output before attaching it to your agent.

Once your script is ready, use the dialer to place a call. You have two options: call immediately or schedule the call for a later time. Select the contact from your shared directory, choose the voice agent and attached script, then confirm. The agent runs the script during the call. Costs for voice calls are billed by duration plus AI credits for agent intelligence — these are displayed before you confirm the action, so there are no surprises.

After the call, every conversation is saved with a full transcript. Open any call from your call history to read exactly what was said. You can also generate an on-demand AI summary that highlights what was discussed and decided — perfect for quick follow-ups or sharing outcomes with your team without replaying the entire conversation.

Ahora tú

Go to Voice in the Communication Hub. Create a new call script: set a goal (e.g., "Book a demo"), add 3 questions, and write at least one objection-handling response. Then open the dialer, select a test contact, attach your script, and schedule a call for later today. Check that the scheduled call appears in your call history.

Para recordar

You now know how to build structured call scripts with goals, questions, and objection handling, and how to attach them to your AI voice agent. You can place immediate calls or schedule them via the dialer, and after each call you can review the full transcript and generate an AI summary. Use the AI panel to draft scripts faster, and always check the cost indicator before confirming a call.
