Managing Your Team on OUPI: Members, Credits, Branding & More · Lesson 3 of 7

3. Distributing Team Credit Allowances

Learn how to grant monthly credit allowances to each team member from your shared team plan and understand how personal and team allowances combine.

Every OUPI team plan comes with a shared credit pool. As the team administrator, you can distribute monthly credit allowances from this pool to each team member. These allowances are granted automatically each month, and members draw on them whenever they use AI features — chat messages, generations, agent missions, and more. Credits are the universal currency of AI usage on OUPI: every operation consumes credits according to the models and services involved, and costs are shown before actions so there are no surprises.

A team member's usable balance can combine two sources: their personal plan allowance (if they have one) and the team allowance you grant them. This means a member doesn't lose their own credits when they join your team — the team allowance adds to what they already have. If a member runs out of personal credits, they can still work using the team allowance you've assigned. Conversely, if their team allowance is exhausted, their personal credits remain available.

As team owner, you have full visibility into how each member consumes their allowance. The Team Management area shows who consumes what and which tools are being used. This usage overview is essential for making informed decisions: you can spot heavy consumers, identify members who need a larger allowance, and detect underused allocations that could be redistributed. Regularly reviewing these insights helps you keep your shared credit pool balanced and avoid unexpected shortfalls.

Tip

Keep an eye on which activities consume the most credits. Long conversations with frontier models, multi-round agent missions, and media generation are the heaviest consumers. Encourage your team to use well-briefed, focused missions and balanced models for everyday tasks — this keeps team credit consumption efficient.

Tip

Remember: credits are only debited when an operation succeeds. If a generation or mission fails, no credits are consumed. So a failed attempt by a team member won't eat into the allowance you've granted them.

Try it now

Go to Team Management now. Review the list of your current team members and check their credit allowances. Look at the usage overview to see who has been consuming the most credits and with which tools. Adjust one member's monthly allowance based on what you observe.

Tip

If your shared team pool is running low before renewal, consider upgrading your plan from the Subscription page. Upgrades apply immediately and your new allowance follows your plan cycle — no waiting required.

Recap

Your team plan provides a shared credit pool that you distribute as monthly allowances to each member. These team allowances combine with any personal credits a member already has. You can monitor per-member consumption in Team Management to spot trends and adjust allowances. Credits are only debited on successful operations, and heavy-consumption activities (frontier models, multi-round missions, media) should be managed wisely. If the pool runs low, upgrade your plan for an immediate top-up.
